  • Students understand EBN and its importance for nursing development.
  • Students understand the connection between EBN and the process of preparing a diploma thesis.
  • Students understand the research process in all phases of the chosen research paradigm in the diploma thesis.
  • Students understand the IMRT structure used in the diploma thesis.
  • Students understand the procedures of preparing a diploma thesis and defending it. 

Knowledge and understanding:
The student:
  • becomes acquainted with the significance of evidence-based nursing;
  • gains knowledge about the evolution of evidence-based nursing;
  • gains knowledge on how to ask relevant clinical questions, find relevant evidence, critically appraise it, generate and disseminate it;
  • acquires the skills for applying research evidence into nursing practice;
  • becomes acquainted with the importance of culture for evidence-based nursing.
  • learns about the process of evidence-based nursing;
  • gains knowledge of the hierarchy of evidence;
  • gains the knowledge of models, strategies and tools for utilizing evidence-based nursing;
  • gains the knowledge of methods for generating and disseminating evidence;
