Introduction to nursing research
Student:

  • is acquainted with research paradigms and research approaches and methods which inform nursing and healthcare practice;
  • gains knowledge of significance of research for nursing;
  • gains knowledge of characteristics of research work;
  • acquires understanding about the social and political context of the research enterprise;
  • Explores research paradigms, research approaches and methods which inform nursing and healthcare practice;
  • is acquainted with critical examination of different ways of classifying nursing research;
  • considers ethical dimensions of research;
  • explores and critically analyzes the design of a research study with reference to a chosen subject area and preferred methodology.  


Nursing informatics
Student:

  • gets basic knowledge about information science
  • gets information about the up-to date information technology and applications in healthcare
  • is acquainted about the nursing informatics evolution and application
  • is capable to actively participate in information system developing.
