The student:

  • understands the basics of pharmacology, understands the effects of drugs on physiological and pathophysiological processes;
  • has an overview of the basic pharmacological drug groups and their effects;
  • is able to deduce and recognize potential adverse reactions, contraindications and precautions by applying the knowledge of basic drug action principles;
  • recognizes factors which influence drug action in a particular patient;
  • understands anatomy, physiologym, pathology, and biochemical processes.
