Subject specific competences:

The student:

  • learns the main concepts of nursing;
  • becomes familiar with nursing care principles;
  • becomes familiar with evidence-based nursing practice;
  • learns about the importance of health education work for the prevention of internal diseases;
  • learns the main areas of work and the role of nurses in the treatment of internistic patients at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of health care;
  • is able to apply specific nursing theories into practice when working with patients with acute and chronic internal conditions;
  • knows how to apply quality management principles in nursing interventions for internistic patients (quality indicators, nursing care standards);
  • acquires new knowledge and expands existing knowledge on internistic patient nursing interventions;
  • recognizes the physical, psychological, and social needs of internistic patients, knows how to respond to them independently and solve them appropriately under the supervision of a mentor;
  • becomes familiar with the nursing documentation at the clinical base.
