Subject specific competences:	The student: knows the structure and functions of the eye and the visual system; is familiar with basic medical examination for eye patients; is familiar with the most common ophthalmologic diseases, their diagnostic procedures and treatment methods; recognizes ophthalmologic emergencies and knows how to offer appropriate first aid; is aware of the specific requirements for nursing interventions performed on eye patients.
