The student:

Orthopedics:
 

  • repetition and upgrading of knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of locomotor apparatus,
  • to get acquinted with important congenital malformations, with diseases, injuries and deformations of musculoskeletal system,
  • to be familiar with principles of orthopedic treatment: prevention, conservative and operative treatment, rehabilitation,
  • to recognize orthopedic emergencies.
  • transfer of theoretical knowledge to practical skills in the course of treatment and nursing of orthopedic patient.


Traumatology:

  • to recognize the epidemiology of traumatism in modern times,
  • to be familiar with principles of acting of the trauma team,
  • to recognize injuries to specific tissues and parts of the human body and to get basic knowledge of the treatment of this injuries,
  • to recognize the complications of the treatment and to have basic knowledge of resolution of this complications.
  • use of theoretical and practical knowledge of resuscitation in practice,
  • pain measurement as a part of daily assessment of a patient.
