The student:

  • Becomes familiar with basic nursing care of women;
  • Learns the approaches and methods of nursing care of women;
  • Becomes familiar with sex education and sexual health;
  • Learns about the pregnancy and post-partum periods;
  • Gains the ability to critically assess and solve specific nursing and collaborative issues;
  • Learns about specific nursing diagnoses and nursing interventions for women;
  • Is able to make a nursing plans women;
  • Learns about the importance and methods of early breast cancer detection;
  • Learns about the importance of health education work;
  • Becomes familiar with physical, psychological, and social needs of gynecology patients, pregnant women, postpartum women, and breastfeeding mothers;
  • Is able to solve and foresee existing and potential nursing problems based on the condition of gynecology patients, pregnant women, postpartum women, and breastfeeding mothers.

Study obligations:

To be admitted into the clinical setting, the student must:
  • present a valid medical certificate for conducting the work of a registered nurse;
  • be vaccinated against hepatitis B;
  • have a valid student insurance based on Articles 17 and 18 of the Health Care and Health Insurance Act for occupational injuries and diseases when participating in tasks and field work;
  • have the required protective clothing, footwear, and special equipment.

Prerequisite for the exam:
  • 30% attendance at lectures

Assessment methods:

  • written examination (100%)
