  • becomes familiar with the basic public health concepts and functions;
  • becomes familiar with the environmental and socio-economic determinants of health;
  • becomes familiar with health indicators and health information sources and the health status of Slovenian population;
  • becomes familiar with key public health care challenges;
  • becomes familiar with key public health approaches to control major public health issues;
  • becomes familiar with organizational models and economics of health care systems, with an emphasis on health care in Slovenia;
  • obtains basic knowledge about health insurance.
