The student:

  • becomes acquainted with research paradigms, approaches and methods which shape nursing and healthcare provision;
  • gains awareness of the significance of research for nursing;
  • gains knowledge of research work characteristics;
  • explores research paradigms, approaches and methods which shape nursing and healthcare provision;
  • considers ethical dimensions of research;
  • explores and critically analyses the design of a study according to a chosen subject area and methodology. 


Knowledge and understanding:

  • accessing, retrieving, interpreting and utilizing scientific and professional literature;
  • understanding the basis of nursing research and its importance for nursing development;
  • independence at writing professional texts and seminars;
  • demonstrating critical and logical thinking skills.
