The student:
- becomes acquainted with research paradigms, approaches and methods which shape nursing and healthcare provision;
- gains awareness of the significance of research for nursing;
- gains knowledge of research work characteristics;
- explores research paradigms, approaches and methods which shape nursing and healthcare provision;
- considers ethical dimensions of research;
- explores and critically analyses the design of a study according to a chosen subject area and methodology.
Knowledge and understanding:
- accessing, retrieving, interpreting and utilizing scientific and professional literature;
- understanding the basis of nursing research and its importance for nursing development;
- independence at writing professional texts and seminars;
- demonstrating critical and logical thinking skills.
