Subject-specific competences: |
Students:
- learn the main concepts of nursing;
- become familiar with nursing care principles;
- become familiar with evidence-based practice;
- learn about the importance of health education work for the prevention of internal diseases;
- learn the main areas of work and the role of nurses in the treatment of internal disease patients at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of health care;
- are able to apply specific nursing theories into practice when working with patients with acute and chronic internal conditions;
- know how to apply quality management principles in nursing interventions of internal disease patients (quality indicators, nursing care standards);
- acquire new knowledge and expand existing knowledge on nursing interventions for internal disease patients;
- know how to apply nursing diagnoses in patients with internal diseases.
Knowledge and understanding:
- knowledge of specific internal diseases for the management of patients;
- understanding the importance of team work for achieving good nursing outcomes in internal disease patients;
- understanding nursing theories in specific areas of work;
- understanding the importance of health education in nursing interventions for internal disease patients;
- knowledge of quality monitoring processes with quality indicators.
