General competencies of the Physiotherapy First Cycle Study Program (PH):
 
  • Independent performance of physiotherapy activities by accounting for the indications and contraindications of different physiotherapy treatment processes
  • Evaluation and documentation of the functional state and capabilities of a patient/user of physiotherapy services 
  • Definition, recognition and implementation of optimal physiotherapy processes when maintaining, restoring and improving psychophysical capabilities and capacity of healthy and ill people and people with developmental disabilities
  • Preparation of a physiotherapy assessment and definition of physiotherapy treatment goals  
  • Independent preparation of physiotherapy treatment programs
  • Ability to make a judgment in complex situations when planning and implementing physiotherapy processes, resolving complex challenges in different fields of physiotherapy and ability to reasonably evaluate and use scientific evidence when preparing a physiotherapy treatment  
  • Ability to acquire and develop professional knowledge and implement it into practice
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and conclusions to professional and general audiences
  • Ability to collaborate and participate in basic and applied research and support the progress of the profession through research work
  • Personal responsibility, honesty, ability to innovate, professional approach and development of critical thinking
  • Understanding of the importance of a quality and safe physiotherapy treatment when providing quality and safe patient treatment

Specific competencies of graduates:
 
  • Ability to plan and perform activities and tasks in compliance with physiotherapy competencies (collecting subjective and objective data, physical examination, giving a physiotherapy diagnosis, preparing a physiotherapy treatment plan, documentation)
  • Ability to integrate different specific physiotherapy skills and processes when treating a patient
  • Ability to communicate successfully (gathering patient data, documenting the situation and providing information to an interdisciplinary team)
  • Ability to select and display appropriate physiotherapy procedures that are used in the process of physiotherapy to respond to the needs of the treated patient
  • Ability to recognize the physical, psychological, behavioural and emotional state of the patient during the process of physiotherapy
  • Ability to perform research work in the field of physiotherapy (promotion, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation)
  • Ability to evaluate the physiotherapy process by working with the patient/user/relatives
  • Capacity for critical thinking in the field of integrating theoretical and practical knowledge, values and new findings and challenges related to physiotherapy
