  • General information about wellness with regard to health.
  • The basic elements of wellness as a lifestyle.
  • Trends and Policies in the field of wellness as a healthy lifestyle (Selfness, Mindness ...).
  • Personal attitude toward wellness as a healthy way of life.
 
WELLNESS ACTIVITY (WELLNESS AS A FIELD)
  • Definition wellness activities.
  • Additional components of wellness activities and knowledge of wellness services.
  • Medical wellness activity.
  • Trends, directions and orientations wellness tourism in conjunction with health tourism.
 
Students will develop general competencies
  • awareness of meaning  and role of  wellness as a lifestyle; 
  • awareness of the importance and role of wellness activities in the care of preventive health care;
  • knowledge and understanding of basic concepts and elements in the field of wellness tourism;
  • awareness of the importance and role of wellness and health (spa) tourism in Slovenian and global economy. 
 
Students will develop the following specific competencies
  • knowledge of trends, direction and guidance in the field of wellness as a healthy lifestyle;
  • knowledge of trends,  guidelines and directions in  the field of health promotion;
  • knowledge of trends,  guidelines and directions in  the field of wellness activities;
  • knowledge of trends, direction and guidance in the field of wellness and preventive health (spa) tourism.
 
Knowledge and understanding. Students will:
  • recognize  principle of wellness healthy life style  as a wholeness life philosophy for activity in the own life;
  • recognize and understand the importance of trends and policies in the field of wellness activities;
  • recognize and understand the importance of trends and policies in the field of tourism, wellness and preventive health tourism.
