The level of innovation of the project lies in the treatment given to multicultural aspects and the importance of their integration in the preparation of student mobility and its use during the stay abroad and afterwards.
A large partnership has been set up for the proposal comprising at least one higher education and another partner per country. The reason for this structure comes from the activities planned and the procedures to be followed.
The characteristics of the project represent the need of activity at the european level to maximise the results. In that sense, the proposal shows the need of obtaining the highest possible added value for the cooperation between different countries and cultures. Such a project would wejoy much less interest if developed in a single county and the need of a wide european partnership is totally justified. An inferdisciplinary approach in also an important asset of the proposal to tackle different issues from different perspectives. This also represents clear possibilities for the ecploitation to other countries by incorporating the local elements needed to adjust the results to the needs of each reality. A positive approach to cultural awareness and diversity represents on of the more important elements of the project.
The aims of the project:
- To build social capital between HEIs and labour market partners by enhancing mutual communication and strengthening trust while working in tandem to meet the current and future challenges of multiculturalism in the fields of education, rehabilitation and social & health care.
- To reinforce and develop the internationalization of the practical placements for foreign students and the guidance related to it as a vital part of the curriculum development
- To improve the quality and increase the volume of practical placement as a part of modernizing process of higher education in terms of multiculturalism by promoting mentors’ and teachers’ multicultural competence as the transversal skills through the practice and the guidance included.
