Kratek življenjepis

Brigita Mavsar Najdenov mag. farm. je specialistka klinične farmacije, zaposlena v Splošni
bolnišnici Jesenice. Rodila se je leta 1966 in je mati dveh hčera, Jane in Nine. Osnovno šolo je
zaključila leta 1980 v Kranjski gori in leta 1984 maturirala na gimnaziji Jesenice. Po maturi se
je vpisala na študij farmacije na tedanji Fakulteti za naravoslovje in tehnologijo, kjer je leta
1990 pod mentorstvom prof.dr. Jožice Marin in prof.dr. Ane Zlate Dragaš diplomirala z
raziskavo Preskus prepustnosti nekaterih vrst medicinskih rokavic za bakterije in viruse. Delo
je bilo leto kasneje objavljeno v reviji Zentralblatt fur Hygiene und Umweltmedizin. Po
diplomi se je zaposlila lekarni Splošne bolnišnice Jesenice in v juniju 1991 opravila strokovni
izpit na Ministrstvu za zdravje. V lekarni Splošne bolnišnice Jesenice je opravljala dela na
področju farmacevtske tehnologije – recepture galenskih in magistralnih zdravil s
proizvodnjo infuzijskih raztopin, na področju kvalitativne in kvantitativne analitike kemijskih
substanc, magistralnih ter galenskih zdravil ter na področju preskrbe bolnišnice z zdravili in
medicinskimi pripomočki. Po letu 1997 se je usmerila na področje klinične farmacije. Že kot
specializantka klinične farmacije je pričela z delom na oddelkih, s čimer je Splošna bolnišnica
Jesenice postala ena prvih bolnišnic v Sloveniji s tovrstno dejavnostjo. Pri svojem delu se je
pričela poglobljeno ukvarjati s farmakoterapijo okužb in smotrno rabo protimikrobnih
zdravil. Specializacijo iz klinične farmacije je zaključila v letu 2006 z raziskavo Poraba
protimikrobnih zdravil v Splošni bolnišnici Jesenice v odbdobju od 1998 do 2004. Delo je bilo
leta 2007 objavljeno v Zdravniškem vestniku. V Splošni bolnišnici Jesenice vodi Komisijo za
zdravila in Komisijo za antibiotike, je članica ožje skupine Komisije za obvladovanje
bolnišničnih okužb in višja strokovno-raziskovalna asistentka Enote za raziskovalno
dejavnost. Je članica Sekcije kliničnih farmacevtov pri Slovenskem Farmacevtskem društvu in
sodelavka Sekcije za protimikrobno zdravljenje pri Slovenskem zdravniškem društvu. Od leta
2007 dalje aktivno sodeluje s Fakulteto za farmacijo Univerze v Ljubljani kot somentorica
diplomantom. S strani Lekarniške zbornice Slovenije je imenovana za glavno in področno
mentorico specializantom iz klinične farmacije. Izsledki raziskav diplomantov so bili
predstavljeni na strokovnih simpozijih in objavljeni v Zdravniškem in Farmacevtskem
vestniku. Na Fakulteti za zdravstvo je izvajalka predmeta Farmakologija.


Curriculum Vitae

Brigita Mavsar Najdenov is clinical pharmacist, employed in Jesenice General Hospital. She
was born in 1966 and has two daughters, Jana and Nina. In 1980 she finished Primary school
in Kranjska gora and after graduating at Gymnasium Jesenice in 1984, she enrolled to
comprehensive pharmacy study programme in the then University in Ljubljana Faculty of
Natural Sciences and Technology. She successfully completed the study in 1990 with diploma
thesis on permeability of certain types of medical gloves for bacteria and viruses, under
supervision of prof.dr. Jožica Marin and prof.dr. Ana Zlata Dragaš. The work was published a
year later in the journal Zentralblatt für Hygiene und Umweltmedizin. After graduation in
1990, she joined at the Jesenice General Hospital pharmacy and in june 1991 passed
professional exam on The Ministry of Health, Republic of Slovenia. Her work in hospital
pharmacy covered pharmaceutical technology - galenic formulations, including infusion
solutions production, qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical substances and
medicinal products and supply and distribution of medicinal products and medicine devices.
After 1997 she focused on the area of clinical pharmacy, thus Jesenice General Hospital
became one of the first hospitals in Slovenia to implement this activity. From the very
beginning she specified her work on pharmacotherapy of infectious diseases and prudent
use of antimicrobials. In University of Ljubljana Faculty of Pharmacy she completed her
postgraduate specialist study programme in clinical pharmacy in 2006, with specialist thesis
on consumption of antimicrobial agents in Jesenice General Hospital from 1998 to 2004. The
work was in 2007 published in the Slovenian Medical Journal. In Jesenice General Hospital
she is president of Hospital Drug and Therapeutic Committtee and president of Hospital
Antibiotic Committee, a core group member of the Hospital Infection Control Committee
and higher professional research assistant of Hospital Research Unit. She is also a member of
the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society Section of Clinical Pharmacists and associate of the
Slovene Medical Association Section for Antimicrobial Therapy. Since 2007 she is active in
Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana as co-advisor in diploma thesis. The Slovenian
Chamber of Pharmacy confirmed her as a supervisor in clinical pharmacy specialist study
programme. The results of research graduates were presented at professional conferences
and published in the Slovenian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal. The Faculty of Health
Care Jesenice qualified her as a higher education lecturer for Pharmacology.
