Kratek življenjepis
Marta Kavšek je doktorirala na področju managementa kakovosti na Fakulteti za organizacijske študije v Novem mestu. V okviru doktorskega raziskovanja je ugotavljala vpliv življenjskega sloga na obseg storitev zdravstvene nege in oskrbe pri starostniku. Njene raziskovalne teme vključujejo upravljanje zdravstvenega varstva, s posebno pozornostjo do zdravstvene nege in oskrbe starejših oseb in oseb z boleznijo demenca. Ukvarja se s profesionalizacijo in razvojem kakovosti zdravstvenega varstva v visokem šolstvu. Po izobrazbi je diplomirana medicinska sestra in univerzitetni diplomirani organizator. Na Fakulteti za organizacijske vede v Kranju je magistrirala iz managementa kakovosti. V Domu starejših občanov Krško je od leta 1998 delovala kot namestnica direktorice za področje zdravstvene nege in oskrbe in višja svetovalka. Pred tem je bila zaposlena v Univerzitetnem kliničnem centru Ljubljana CIT KV KRG, Splošni bolnišnici Brežice in Zdravstvenem domu Krško.
Leta 2006 je prejela zlati znak Zbornice zdravstvene in babiške nege Slovenije. Bila je predsednica Društva medicinskih sester, babic in zdravstvenih tehnikov Novo mesto in opravljala naloge v nadzornem odboru. Je strokovnjakinja NAKVIS, svetovalka za izvajanje inštruktažnega svetovanja, izdelave mnenj, pritožb nad izvajalci socialnovarstvenih storitev pri Socialni zbornici Slovenije. Sodelovala je pri ustanovitvi Fakultete za zdravstvo v Novem mestu in kot nosilka predmeta Zdravstvena nega starostnika z gerontologijo in rehabilitacijo prenašala znanje novim rodovom. Na Fakulteti za zdravstvo Angele Boškin je nosilka in izvajalka predmeta Dolgotrajna oskrba. Kot aktivna raziskovalka deluje v projektni skupini Javne agencije za raziskovalno dejavnost Republike Slovenije na področju socialne infrastrukture. Je soavtorica znanstvenih monografij Celostna obravnava dolgotrajne oskrbe v Sloveniji in Socialna infrastruktura pametnih srebrnih vasi.
Curriculum Vitae
Marta Kavšek holds a PhD in quality management from the Faculty of Organizational Studies in Novo mesto. As part of her doctoral research, she studied the impact of lifestyle on the scope of nursing and care services for the elderly. Her research topics include health care management, with a special focus on nursing and care for the elderly and people with dementia. She is engaged in the professionalization and development of the quality assurance in higher education of health care. She is a graduate nurse. She holds a master's degree in quality management from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Kranj. She is employed at the Novo mesto General Hospital. Since 1998, she has worked at the Krško Home for the Elderly as a deputy director for nursing and care and a senior consultant. Prior to that, she was employed at the University Clinical Center Ljubljana, General Hospital Brežice and Community Health Centre Krško.
In 2006 she received the golden badge of the Chamber of Nursing and Midwifery of Slovenia. She was the president of the Association of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Technicians Novo mesto and later was member in the supervisory board. She is an SQAA expert, a consultant for the implementation of instructional counselling, preparation of opinions, complaints against providers of social welfare services at the Social Chamber of Slovenia. She participated in the establishment of the Faculty of Health in Novo mesto and, as the holder of the course Nursing of the Elderly with Gerontology and Rehabilitation, passed on knowledge to new generations. At the Faculty of Health Angela Boškin, she teaches course Long-Term Care. As an active researcher, she is member of CERRRISK research group at Institute INRISK working on the project Development of social infrastructure and services for community based long-term care (grant no. J6-9396) financed by Slovenian Research Agency ARRS. She is the co-author of the scientific monograph Comprehensive treatment of long-term care in Slovenia and Social infrastructure of smart silver villages.
