Kratek življenjepis

Dr. Katja Pesjak je leta 2004 diplomirala na Fakulteti za družbene vede Univerze v Ljubljani s področja analitsko-teoretske smeri sociologije. Zaposlila se je kot mlada raziskovalka na Katedri za družinsko medicino na Medicinski fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani. Kot znanstvena sodelavka je sodelovala pri projektnih raziskovanjih s področja javnega zdravja; najpogosteje so bila to področja družin, nasilja, alkoholizma, stresa, izgorevanja. Poleg področja javnega zdravja, je bilo raziskovanje usmerjeno tudi k družinam in družinskemu življenju. Iz področja sociologije družin je leta 2011 doktorirala na Fakulteti za družbene vede Univerze v Ljubljani z doktorsko disertacijo »Reorganizirane družine v Sloveniji«. 

Od leta 2009 sodeluje s Katedro za družinsko medicino kot zunanja sodelavka za modularni del študijskega programa. Od leta 2010 dalje je sodelavka OZG Kranj kot predavateljica Komunikacije med partnerjema v okviru šole z starše.

V letu 2014 je bila na Fakulteti za zdravstvo Angele Boškin izvoljena v naziv asistentka za področje Sociologije zdravja in bolezni, v letu 2017 pa se je habilitirala v docentko na istem področju. Na Fakulteti za zdravstvo Angele Boškin je zaposlena kot članica razvojno-raziskovalne skupine in kot mednarodna koordinatorica.

 

 


Curriculum Vitae

In 2004 dr. Katja Pesjak graduated at Faculty for Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana in the field of analytical-theoretical sociology. She started her career as a researcher at the Department of Family Medicine, Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. She has participated in projects research in the field of public health; most often areas of family, violence, alcoholism, stress, burnout. In addition to the field of public health, the research was also focused on families and family life. In 2011, she obtained her PhD in Family Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana with her doctoral dissertation "Reorganized Families in Slovenia".
 
Since 2009 she has been working with the Department of Family Medicine as an external associate for the modular part of the study program. Since 2010 she has been an associate of OZG Kranj as a lecturer of Communication between partners within the school with parents.
 
In 2014 she started to work at Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care. She was elected as assistant in the field of Sociology of Health and Illness, and in 2017 she became assistant professor in the same field. At the faculty she is as a member of the research and development group and leads international office.
