Kratek življenjepis
Tanja Planinšek Ručigaj, rojena 1965 v Ptuju, je diplomirala na Medicinski fakulteti, Univerze v Ljubljani na odseku za medicino leta 1993. Po enoletnem stažu je opravila strokovni izpit, po dveletnem sekundariatu pa še licenčni izpit s pohvalo. Specialistični izpit iz dermatovenerologije je opravila v letu 2001 na Dermatovenerološki kliniki, Kliničnega centra v Ljubljani.
Leta 2003 je bila izvoljena za asistenta za predmet dermatovenerologija ter leta 2015 prejela naziv asistent na Katedri za dermatovenerologijo Medicinske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani.
Od 3.1.2002 je na Dermatovenerološki kliniki zaposlena kot zdravnik s temeljno specializacijo. Od leta 2004 je vodja ambulantne dejavnosti na Dermatovenerološki kliniki in član Strokovnega sveta klinike. Od leta 2009 je vodja Limfološke dejavnosti na Dermatovenerološki kliniki.
Od aprila 2009 je bila najprej v.d. predstojnica Dermatovenerološke klinike v Ljubljani, ter od 2012 predstojnica Dermatovenerološke klinike, UKC v Ljubljani. To funkcijo opravlja še danes.
Je članica strokovnega sveta Združenja za žilne bolezni pri Slovenskem zdravniškem društvu.
Predsednica Združenja slovenskih dermatovenerologov je bila v letih med 2006 do 2014.
Od 2008 je podpredsednica Balkanskega venskega foruma.
Od 2011 je bila štiri leta predsednica Društva za oskrbo ran Slovenije, nato štiri leta podpredsednica do januarja 2017. Od leta 2019 je ponovno predsednica tega društva.
Od leta 2016 je predsednica Slovenskega flebološkega in limfološkega društva.
Od leta 2019 je članica Upravnega odbora Evropskega društva za zdravljenje ran (EWMA).
Je tudi častna članica Dermatovenerološkega društva Črne Gore ter članica Odbora za izobraževanje v Hrvaškem društvu za rane (HUR).
V septembru 2015 je uspešno opravila izpit po dvoletnem študiju na Evropski šoli za limfedeme v okviru e-Lymph project-Evropskega projekta.
V letu 2018 je doktorirala na Medicinski fakulteti v Mariboru. Naslov doktorske disertacije: Klinična in genetska raziskava bolnikov z edemom goleni in sindaktilijo prstov nog.
Od leta 2009 predava na Fakulteti za zdravstvo Angele Boškin Jesenice predmet Dermatovenerologija, kjer je izvoljena v naziv višja predavateljica.
Leta 2011 je prejela naziv svetnica, leta 2019 pa naziv višja svetnica. Prejela je tudi naziv primarij v letu 2013.
Od leta 2014 je članica Razširjenega strokovnega kolegija za dermatovenerologijo pri Ministrstvu za zdravje RS. V letu 2013 je bila imenovana v Komisijo za AIDS pri Ministrstvu za zdravje. V letu 2011 je bila za 4 leta imenovana v Komisijo za etiko UKC Ljubljana.
V letih 2011 in 2015 je bila imenovana za Nacionalno koordinatorico za področje dermatovenerologije. V letih od 2017-2020 je bila predstavnica Slovenije v UEMS-u za področje dermatovenerologije. Je pa tudi predstavnica Slovenije v UEMS-u za področje kroničnih ran.
Je predstavnica Slovenije v VASCERN mreži, v ERN mreži redkih bolezni v Evropi, v delu PPL, to je mreži za primarne prirojene limfedeme.
Je poročena, mati petih otrok.
Curriculum Vitae
Tanja Planinšek Ručigaj, born in 1965 in Ptuj, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Department of Medicine in 1993. After a one-year internship, she passed a professional exam, and after a two-year secondary education, a license exam with distinction. She passed the specialist exam in dermatovenerology in 2001 at the Dermatovenerology Clinic, University Medical Center in Ljubljana.
In 2003 she was elected for the assistant to the subject of dermatovenerology and in 2015 she received the title of assistant at the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Medical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana.
Since January 2002, she has been employed at the Dermatovenerology Clinic as a doctor with a basic specialization. Since 2004, she is the head of outpatient activities at the Dermatovenerology Clinic and a member of the Clinical Expert Council. Since 2009 she is the head of the Lymphology Department at the Dermatovenerology Clinic.
Since April 2009, she was first v.d. head of the Dermatovenerology Clinic in Ljubljana, and since 2012 is a head of the Dermatovenerology Clinic, University Medical Center in Ljubljana.
She is a member of the expert council of the Association for Vascular Diseases at the Slovenian Medical Association.
She was the president of the Association of Slovenian Dermatovenerologists between 2006 and 2014.
Since 2008, she has been Vice-President of the Balkan Vienna Forum.
Since 2011 she has been the president of the Wound Care Association of Slovenia for four years, then the vice-president for four years until January 2017. Since 2019, she has been the president of this association again.
Since 2016, she is the president of the Slovenian Phlebological and Lymphological Society.
Since 2019, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Wound Healing Society (EWMA).
She is also an honorary member of the Dermatovenerological Society of Montenegro and a member of the Education Committee of the Croatian Wound Society (HUR).
In September 2015, she successfully passed the exam after two years of study at the European School of Lymphedema as part of the e-Lymph project.
In 2018, she received her PhD from the Medical Faculty in Maribor. Doctoral dissertation title: Clinical and genetic research of patients with tibial edema and toe syndactyly.
Since 2009 she has been lecturing at the Faculty of Health Angela Boškin Jesenice in the subject of dermatovenerology, where she was elected a senior lecturer.
In 2011 she received the title of councilor, and in 2019 the title of senior councilor. It also received the title of primarius in 2013.
Since 2014, she is a member of the Extended Professional College for Dermatovenerology at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia. In 2013, she was appointed to the AIDS Commission at the Ministry of Health. In 2011, she was appointed to the Ethics Commission of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana for 4 years.
In 2011 and 2015, she was appointed National Coordinator for Dermatovenereology. In the years 2017-2020, she was the representative of Slovenia in UEMS for the field of dermatovenereology. She is also Slovenia's representative at UEMS for MJC for Chronic wounds (UEMS MJC-WH).
She is the representative of Slovenia in the VASCERN network, in the ERN network of rare diseases in Europe, in the PPL, ie the network for primary congenital lymphedema.
She is married, the mother of five children.
