Šibenik, Croatia — 8–11 June 2026
Educators from across Europe gathered in Šibenik, Croatia, for the second Exchange of Expertise organised under the Well-Ed project. Hosted by the Polytechnic of Šibenik (Šibenik University of Applied Sciences), the four-day event brought together partner institutions to share best practices in student and staff health and wellbeing.
Partner Institutions
The exchange welcomed representatives from six partner organisations:
Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care, Slovenia (Lead Partner)
Polytechnic of Šibenik, Croatia
University of Udine, Italy
Universidad de Murcia, Spain
JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Finland
European Business Association, Croatia
Key Themes
Sessions covered six core topics central to the project's mission:
Green Health and Physical Activity – Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care
Digitalisation and Blended Learning – Polytechnic of Šibenik
Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing – University of Udine
Healthy Eating Habits and Nutrition – Universidad de Murcia
Digital and Physical Health – JAMK University of Applied Sciences
Self-management and Leadership for Wellbeing – European Business Association
The exchange opened with a welcome session and presentations and discussion on healthy eating, part of a broader block on well-being, self-care and healthy living. A guided tour of Šibenik's old town and a welcome dinner rounded out the opening day.
The following days combined presentations and discussion sessions on physical activity, mental wellness, and digital health with outdoor "green activities" seminars held throughout the city. A dedicated block was devoted to digital course-making, alongside sessions on self-care, self-management and leadership.
The programme closed with a block on green health and sustainability, a session to build a shared pool of knowledge on health and wellbeing, a discussion of the project's publishing plan, and a Project Management Group (PMG) meeting.
Looking Ahead
The exchange strengthened collaboration among Well-Ed partners and laid the groundwork for the project's upcoming product on health and wellbeing practices. Participants concluded their work in Šibenik with new tools and shared knowledge to bring back to their home institutions.
