AGHPS experts visited FHCJ to perform international evaluation and international acreditation

 Representatives of German agency  Akkreditierungsagentur im Bereich Gesundheit und Soziales (AHPGS) have visited FHCJ on February 5th and 6th, 2015. The aim of on site visit was to evaluate the functioning of Faculty with the purpose of international evaluation and international accreditation of educational programme Nursing care (1st cycle professional) and Study programme Nursing care 2nd cycle (Master).  AHPGS promotes the quality and transparency of university study programmes with the procedures of accreditation in Germany and internationally. AHPGS is a member of European society for quality assurance in higher education institutions (ENQA)  and a member of international net of agencies (INQAAHE) AHPGS is also a member of  Central and East European net f agencies for promotion of quality at higher education. AHGPS is also acknowledged by Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research to evaluate accreditation applications for Swiss Universities.

 
Four members, experts on health care nursing, assessed proposed programs at FHCJ: 
- Prof. Dr. Birgit Vosseler, Dean for Students, University of Applied Science Ravensburg-Weingarten
- Prof. Dr. Renate Stemmer, Dean, Catholic University of Applied Science Mainz
- Gyrit Fröhlich, Student of Master Program at the Frankfurt University of Applied Science
- Hendrik Epe, AHPGS Akkreditierung gGmbH.
 
Modularization of proposed study programs was evaluated, as also aims of programmes, learning outcomes, development of study plans, methods of study, pedagogical and non pedagogical staff, and quality management.  
 
First responses were highly positive for FHCJ. Some opportunities for improvements at faculty level and also some regulatory improvements at national level were proposed. No consistencies were mentioned.  The results will be known in April.  
 
Head specialist of international evaluation and accreditation was Mrs Sedina Kalender Smajlović MSc (Nursing), Lecturer Head of Centre for Quality and Evaluation at FHCJ.
