Brigita Skela Savič, PhD, named to the Board of Directors of the International Council of Nurses

Brigita Skela Savič, PhD, Associate Professor, Dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care, was named a member to the Board of Directors of the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the world's largest association of nurses. Election of the new Board of Directors took place as part of the ICN Congress that is taking place between 27 May and 1 June and is attended by more than 8,200 nurses from 135 countries.
 
Annette Kennedy from Ireland became the President of the International Council of Nurses. At the same time, 13 members were named to the Board of Directors, including Brigita Skela Savič, who will work with Karen Bjoro from Norway to represent Area 3, which includes Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden. Successful candidacy of Brigita Skela Savič is another endorsement of the international recognition earned by Slovenian nursing profession.
 
Skela Savič PhD, Associate Professor was nominated by the Chamber of medical and midwifery care of Slovenia - Association of professional associations of nurses, midwives and health technicians.
