Sanela Pivač named Acting Dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care

JESENICE, 1 December 2017 – Sanela Pivač, MSc (Nursing), Senior Lecturer, took on the position of acting dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care for a period of 6 months. Sanela Pivač was the Vice Dean for education at the Faculty and is the lecturer for several subjects at the First Cycle Nursing Care study program (PH). She is also the president of the Committee for study and student affairs and the Committee for Undergraduate and Postgraduate theses and dissertations and the invited member of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care Senate and management board. She is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Public Health course.

Under her leadership, we evolved from a regional school into a modern, ambitious and dynamic faculty whose pioneering research and development achievements have garnered attention in Slovenia and internationally. With her work and example as dean, she left an indelible mark on the development of our faculty as well as the development of the entire nursing care higher education in Slovenia. Her constant work towards research, teaching and managerial excellence are an excellent stepping stone towards future achievements of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care that will surely result based on our ambitious development goals,” said Sanela Pivač, Acting Dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care.
 
Brigita Skela Savič, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Research Counsellor, will focus on basic research and the transfer of research findings to pedagogical work, particularly at the second and third Bologna cycle levels and the transfer of research findings into clinical environments and the healthcare system. She will work as a research counsellor, member of the Slovenian Research Agency, the lead for international and ARRS projects and as a higher education teacher.
 
On 1 December 2017, the selection procedure for the Dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care for the next 4-year period will begin officially. The election procedure is scheduled to be completed by mid-February 2018.
