JESENICE, 1 April 2021 – Because of the retirement of Assistant Professor Ivica Avberšek Lužnik, Ph.D., who led the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care (ABFHC) in the period from 1 June 2020 to 31 March 2021, Assistant Professor Sanela Pivač, Ph.D., took on the leadership of ABFHC on 1 April 2020. She was appointed to the position of the Acting Dean with a decision of the ABFHC Senate until the appointment of a new dean or a period not exceeding 6 months. Assistant Professor Sanela Pivač, Ph.D., already led ABFHC as Acting Dean in the period from 1 December 2017 to 31 May 2020. She is currently performing several roles: Vice-Dean of Education, lecturer for several subjects at the 1st and the 2nd cycle programs, President of the Student Affairs Committee and the Graduate and Postgraduate Theses Committee, and a member of the ABFHC Senate and the Board of Directors of ABFHC.

On 17 March 2021, the ABFHC Senate already adopted the Decision on initiating the procedure for electing the ABFHC Dean, which officially launched the process for electing the ABFHC dean for a four-year period. The procedure will be concluded by the end of May 2021.
