Kratek življenjepis

Maks Tajnikar je doktor ekonomije in podjetništva ter redni profesor Ekonomske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani. Bil je minister za malo gospodarstvo (1992-1993) in minister za gospodarstvo (1993-1996) v Vladi Republike Slovenije. V obdobju 2001-2007 je bil dekan Ekonomske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani. Objavil je več kot 500 znanstvenih in strokovnih člankov v različnih domačih in tujih časopisih, učbenike s področja mikroekonomike, makroekonomike, upravljalne ekonomike, managiranja rastočih poslov, podjetništva in post-keynesianske ekonomske teorije. Je avtor petih knjig in soavtor v večjem številu knjig in monografij. Kot avtor ali soavtor je objavil več kot 65 recenziranih znanstvenih tekstov. Sodeloval je na več kot 70 mednarodnih konferencah in izdelal več kot 90 svetovalnih del. V zadnjih petih letih je bil uvodničar na štirih mednarodnih konferencah. Že od osemdesetih let je objavljal v časopisih in strokovnih revijah. Bil je član nadzornih svetov in svetov bolnišnic (tudi UKC Ljubljana) ter ustanovitelj večjega števila novih študijskih programov v Sloveniji in v tujini, med drugim tudi podiplomskega programa Ekonomika in management v zdravstvenem varstvu Ekonomske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani. Sedaj raziskovalno največ deluje na področju makroekonomike, ekonomike rastočih podjetij, ekonomike javnega sektorja in zdravstvene ekonomike.


Curriculum Vitae

Maks Tajnikar, PhD, is a full professor of economics and entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He served as Minister of Small Business (1992-93) and Minister for Economic Affairs (1993-96) of the Republic of Slovenia. He was Dean of the Faculty of Economics in the 2001-2007 period. During this time the Faculty of Economics became EQUIS accredited and initiated the AACSB accreditation processes. Maks Tajnikar has published over 550 papers, articles in various journals, text books (microeconomics, macroeconomics, managerial economics, entrepreneurship, venture management, post-Keynesian economic theory) and is the author of 5 books, co-author of 18 books and the author of more than 60 video lecture from macroeconomics, microeconomics and health care economics. He has completed over 90 consultancy projects and has together with his colleagues actively participated in over 90 international scientific conferences. He was a keynote speaker on eight occasions. Current research fields are macroeconomics (inequality), firm growth, public economics, and health care economics. He was active in developing and implementing several new study programmes in Slovenia including the Master’s Programme in Health Management and Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
